Two men from Washington were arrested Thursday for their involvement in selling fake sports and Pokémon trading cards in a $2 million scheme over two years, said the U.S. Attorney's Office.

Some of the other cards Curcio and Bondarchuk tried to sell were a 1999 Pokémon Venusaur card and a 1999 Pokémon Charizard card. In July 2023, an undercover officer purchased the misrepresented Venusaur card for $10,500.
