Adani CEO Lucas Dow says it is “unreasonable” for protesters to get “in the way of hardworking regional Queenslanders”. Adani have recently announced the signing of $700 million worth of contracts with Australian and predominantly Queensland companies which Mr Dow said will “bolster the economy in regional Queensland”.

The Adani project has faced increased pressure from environmental activists, but Mr Dow pointed to Adani’s “very large renewable portfolio” to dispel any environmental grievances and said the coal which will be mined “is less emitting from a co2 perspective” than Indian or Indonesian coal.

And will Adani pay their bills? Story the other day suggests not... So what happened to the thousands of jobs, now it's down to a measly 1500...at what cost? This is a dodgy company that will eventually cut & run... and who will be left holding the bag?

Greyhound buses have disrespected Queenslanders by refusing to work with Adani because of Green objections - they should be ashamed

Bush Fires are costing Tourism Billion $s Drought is costing Farmers Billion $s At what point do we stop backing minority industries that more harm than good? auspol

it is “unreasonable” for COAL COMPANIES to get “in the way of hardworking regional Queenslanders”. Tourism Hammered by CO2 emissions from Coal Farming Hammered by CO2 emissions from Coal Who is the problem here Queenslanders ? auspol

I guess it's a (slightly) different cliche to 'Hard working Australians'? Not very original though!

As per usual Credlin crap.

Global warming is here to stay. All you can do is mitigate the effects of it to lessen the impact of it. Selling coal to India to generate electricity which saves the local population from cutting down trees for firewood in no way impacts on global warming. These people are fools

Wow! That's great news for Queensland!

Bullshit!
