Now, did Mahathir himself bring this PSMI thing to cabinet for approval? An ACTING edu minister should not have more powers than a full minister like Maszlee.
The fact is Malaysia needs PPSMI. The problem is it’s politically untenable & unpopular enforcing PPSMI. Politicians face pressure fr Malay, Chinese & Tamil language nationalists. Perhaps only our 95yos PM can push it through.
Cabinet members must stop hiding behind scapegoating Dr Mahathir. Just tell us whether they support or against PPSMI. The real issue for me is PPSMI, not whether Mahathir consulted his cabinet or not. That can be another matter. The media shld distinguish both issues.
What's the problem guys? Mahathir chedetofficial is using his executive powers as Minister of Education to re-introduce the PPSMI. And that's the difference between Mahathir being the Minister of Education and lame-duck maszlee Malik being Minister of Education.
