US President Donald Trump’s announcement that the United States is extending the travel ban to Europe on Thursday was “not inspiring at all,” according to US Studies Centre Non-Resident Fellow James Brown. In addition to the travel ban, the president also annouced the White House would provide economic relief in the form of low interest loans for small business and payroll tax relief, however was not well-received by the markets.

Mr Brown told Sky News Trump was “really being hemmed in at the moment” and was “not in an environment that is his natural turf”. “He is very conscious this virus and crisis plays into what the Democrats are talking about, their narrative on a failing health care system and… on an economic system that has left a lot of workers behind,” he said. “[Trump] has got to act on that and right now is looking politically vulnerable.

Key issue for Democrats is 'all about beating Trump' | Sky News AustraliaSky News contributor Michael Ware says despite all other key issues among Democrats, the number one issue for the party is 'all about beating Trump'.\n\n'The real battle has been about who is more electable and it seems the party has chosen Biden,' Mr Ware said.\n\nMr Ware said current messaging by President Trump on the economy has been 'confusing' and 'conflicting' suggesting Mr Trump takes it as 'a referendum on his administration', which could prove costly for him in November.\n\nImage: AP Sky just loves being told the bleedingly obvious by their knowall 'contributors', don't they? The Democrats have been 'all about beating Trump' since the day he won the election. They've tried literally everything they can think of. Go wrong way. The most important is to orient the best policies and issues ppl concerned: 1) illegal immigrant 2) Medicare reform 3) stimulating economy 4) foreign policies esp European and China Russia. 5) welfare. ....
