Scott Morrison and Josh Frydenberg are poised to follow in Paul Keating’s footsteps and have “recession we didn’t have to have” engraved on their political tombstones, Outsiders host Rowan Dean says. Mr Dean said the “unavoidable mack truck” of a demolished economy is set to hand office over to a “socialist Labor government”.

"Australia does not need to go into an economic depression in order to defeat this virus,” he said. “If we do ruin our prosperity, it will go down in history as our greatest ever own goal, the recession we did not have to have." Mr Dean said Mr Morrison has so far made the right decisions to curb the spread of the virus, but said from May 1st, small business should be able to reopen if they adhere to social distancing and hygiene regulations.

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Yes because they are responsible for the devastating bushfires and the Coronavirus. Keating was simply financially inept.

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Keep hammering away, Rowan 70% of the Country is with you on this National matter I might add...numerous times I've also stated that May 1st has to be back to work day May1st_BtwDay

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Recently, all the Sky segments (in video form on twitter) freeze The dialogue continues but the feed always always stops on an unflattering image of each Sky host I thought it was a local signal issue...its not Its deliberate and malicious (public service announcement)

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Rowan Dean wouldn't know how to spell treasury, economy or prosperity, he might just manage 'tax' but that's a dirty word for this neocon suckhole.

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Wow. The best thing I've read in weeks. It generally seems that those in secure jobs never want to open again, while the rest of us face life on the streets. Extraordinary that the PM can't see that his good work so far will be for nothing if his 'quiet Australians' are forgotten

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Agree 100%. Spot on as usual

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Rowan who?

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean All the prosperity in the world is no good to you if you are dead. Would you worry about wealth if Covid 19 killed your partner? your kids?

ScottMorrisonMP JoshFrydenberg rowandean Even after having the advantage of seeing how Italy, Spain, the UK and US went after being just a little too slow to react, Dean comes up with this steaming pile of 🐎💩 UK actual weekly deaths overlaid on 10 years of historical ranges (this is with some period of lockdown)
