"The report was based on consultation with 300 growers and businesses in our region which built up and led to the estimation of that big economic impact of $2.4 billion," Mr Artup said. "This secondary report looks at Building Queensland's critique of our report, and actually in more detail defends our assumptions," he said.Mr Artup said he believed restoring the dam to its full capacity would cost $800 million, and that the council believed this would be a worthwhile investment for Queensland's economy.
