Mexico City has reopened its bars and cinemas to try and save the economy, despite the coronavirus outbreak

” to reopen and serve customers up to 30% capacity and keep doors open until 10 p.m. if owners enforce social distancing measures and serve food, the Associated Press reported.

It’s in hopes that partial reopenings will help prevent further layoffs in Mexicans bars, nightclubs and similar venues that have been shuttered for months, as nightlife worldwide has been decimated by stay-at-home orders and people practicing social distancing. during the second quarter compared to the previous quarter, as spending on tourism, dining out and transport particularly plummeted, Reuters reported.

Museums, cinemas and swimming pools in Mexico City are also permitted to open at 30% capacity from Monday, according to AP.
