Black women’s ownership of the economy is at a mere 12% and the overall representation by women at top management is at 23.5%

This is according to The Commission of Employment Equity report and the National Status and Trends on Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment report, and was discussed during a webinar hosted by the trade and industry deputy minister, the B-BBEE Commission and the Commission for Employment Equity on Monday morning, to look at the management control and the status of women based on the two recently published reports.
