More than 100,000 people have died from COVID-19 in India which has become the third nation to reach the grim milestone.

Only the United States and Brazil have suffered a higher death toll. The Asian nation is on track to become the worst affected nation globally, recording the highest rate of daily infections.

Close to 80,000 new cases were added to its tally in the past 24 hours alone. The nation's prime minister is rejecting pressure to introduce another lockdown in a bid to protect the nation’s battered economy.

India is the best example of the concept of 'herd immunisation' so far ....not looking good.
