Treasurer Josh Frydenberg has foreshadowed his plan to save Australians from the worst economic disaster in living memory in an exclusive interview on tomorrow’s budget reveal. Mr Frydenberg told Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell he could see an end to the economic crisis and promised the Coalition was still a reformist government. “I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I can see our economy recovering, we are about rebuilding for the future,” Mr Frydenberg said.
“This budget is all about jobs … without a jobs recovery, you don’t have a stronger economy.” Mr Frydenberg also warned the nation would suffer from net-zero immigration over the next few years and encouraged Australians to have more children to help sustain growth. While the treasurer would not be drawn into whether tomorrow’s budget will mention reduction in corporate tax rates, he maintained a commitment towards reformist policies.
