The total value of transactions executed by domestic Investors on the Nigerian Stock Exchange in the first eight months of the year stood at N731bn as against N470.

20bn total foreign transactions carried out during the period under review.

As of August 31, total transactions at the nation’s bourse decreased by 8.49 per cent from N103.21bn in July to N94.45bn in August. The total value of transactions executed by domestic investors in August outperformed transactions executed by foreign investors by circa 18 per cent. However, total foreign transactions increased by 12.69 per cent from N34.59bn to N38.98bn between July and August.A two-month comparison of domestic transactions revealed that retail transactions decreased by 18.22 per cent from N32.54bn in July 2020 to N26.61bn in August.
