Stiff competition from big box stores, hardware, automotive, online shopping, massive debt from the Kmart acquisition. In time, we may see the end to Sears, but not just yet.
They need to be more competitive like how Walmart responds to amazon.
Really strange choice of headline. Isn't the bigger news the $508 million loss to shareholders? Or the $1 billion revenue decline over same quarter 2017? Or the lower margin? And then there's the increase in debt/loans. . .
