Inflation pressures in the economy today are temporary and are not long-term problems, according to hedge fund investor Anthony Scaramucci.

last week said the central bank uses the term to mean that the current increase in prices won't leave a permanent mark on the economy.

"I think it's probably a good time to retire that word and try to explain more clearly what we mean," he said. Scaramucci also said the Fed is likely to move slowly with regard to reducing the pace of its monthly bond purchases. That's in part because there are still uncertainties about additional Covid variants, he said, noting that many in the U.S. remain unvaccinated and that could lead to an "elongation" of the pandemic.Stock picks and investing trends from CNBC Pro:

And why do we care what he thinks?

Man who gives a flying fuck what he thinks? Half of us don’t even trust the fed on inflation and you wanna put this guy on a pedestal? What in the hell?

He’s an expert on “transitory” things.

So transitory like, one day you're working for Trump. The next day you're under the bus!

Sort of like working for Trump.

Inflation is transitory by definition - duh!

I need his crystal ball.

On the bright side, we haven't had deflation.

These people take advantage of the naivety of others. The biggest problem in America today, in health, politics and in money matters. It's disturbing.Wake up America.

Who?!

Sort of like his PRESS SECRETARY job🏃✌

Yeah, just like US supporting Chinese communism was supposed to be only transitory, It's been happening for 80 years.

Economist Anthony Scaramucci

He is an authority on nothing

Seriously? Who cares what Smooch thinks.

who the fuck asked

So we ignore the many economists who say this same thing, and we don't hear about it unless we look for it. Then a guy who was spokesman for trump, a well-known liar and criminal, says it, and it's a headline! SMH!

what we have maken sure is that the infation is coming, and we don't know when it will leave.

'Anthony Scaramucci says' Who THE FUCK starts anything that way? 🤡

Isn’t it always?

I agree with his opinion and just wish his career was also transitory. I mean why ?

Of course not unless, we don’t get this pandemic under control. In Asia. One Covid positive = one day shut down = three month ripple down the supply chain.

😂😂😂 Why would anybody even ask him about this?

How many scaramuccis in a transitory?

Anthony Scaramucci doesn’t understand cyclical economics or monetary restructuring. We are moving back into hard assets because the creation of fiat money is overdone and can not be created enough to pay debts without devaluing the dollar to the point of destruction.

The implied definition of “transitory” is open for debate. Inflationary pressure will subside in certain categories but overall average inflation will remain elevated. What is not open for debate is the Fed’s Balance Sheet.

Who really cares what this guy has to say ?

typically there is a ceiling when inflation occurs over any period of time, no? I guess it just may depend when and at what point that ceiling is... When Atlas Shrugged

Ya that’s already not the case lol

This is NOT a supply chain problem. Its an artificial demand problem stemming from the fed and fiscal policy. you cant just print money into existence and expect to buy stuff that has not been created. More money chasing fewer goods is what we have, so prices will go up immensely

absolute moron. print 40% of money supply, stop production, and artificially stimulate demand by giving out 1T in stimulus checks to buy the stuff we stopped producing, at all time high record trade deficits because of it. Everything over the last year is inflation on steroids

Never a fixed time frame, everything is transitory!

Like....every other time in history. Wow, such insight, I'm so glad you reported it.

Stop highlighting clowns. You’re giving oxygen to forest fires.
