The bank's app, online banking and USSD service for customers without smartphones have been offline since Thursday morning. The bank's customers aired their frustration on social media, and Capitec remained the number one trending topic on SA's Twitterverse by Friday morning. "Capitec Bank is still experiencing an infrastructure problem in the central servers that support our banking channels. We realise this is a terrible experience for our clients and apologise for the inconvenience," said the bank in a short statement.
