I stopped eating apples from supermarkets long time ago as it becomes more beatiful out side and testless inside. It good for decorating your dining table. The more we played with nature the more it become testless and beautiful. Same is true for other fruits like grapes.
Love the more recent varieties such as Jazz, Eve, Envy, Smitten. Crisp, not too sweet and keep well.

Every apple I've really liked they somehow ruined over the years and they don't taste near the same. Red Delicious was great decades ago, not even the same today.
