It was gathered that the General died on Tuesday night from injuries sustained after a corporal, Abayomi Ebun, hit him with aThe incident happened at about 10:30 p.m. as Brigadier General James was walking to his residence at the NAFRC Barracks in Lagos.
“The soldier also resides inside the barracks and was seen driving recklessly before hitting the senior officer,” a source said. The army corporal has since been arrested and is being detained by NAFRC provost marshals investigating the matter.
