Access to affordable childcare for children up to the age of 11 would inject more than £13bn into the British economy every year and help reduce the gender pay gap, new research has found 🔴 poppyeh

Ms Statham said a universal and affordable childcare guarantee up to secondary school “would deliver a step change for millions of young children and their families, giving more children access to high quality early years education… [while growing] families’ incomes”.

“We owe it to children to give them the very best start in life and that begins by transforming our broken childcare system,” she said.
