British Columbia's economy will be a key focus for politicians as they return to the legislature for the spring sitting.

Premier David Eby says economists are predicating a “global slowdown and potentially recession” and his government is focused on keeping the economy strong by building trade relationships and supporting businesses.

The session starts with a speech from the throne today, which Eby says will outline the government's key priorities of health care, housing, public safety and the economy. He'll be travelling to Ottawa where Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is hosting a first ministers' meeting to try to work out an agreement with the provinces and territories for increased funding for health care.

B.C. house leader Ravi Kahlon says the government has plans to introduce more than two dozen pieces of legislation during the session, which is set to conclude in May.

The provincial government’s all out attack on homeowners needs to stop if we are to have a bright economic future for BC.

Watch how the NDP will ignore the disabled and poorest seniors.

Interesting that Dave_Eby is out in Ottawa getting nothing accomplished instead of being at the legislature getting nothing accomplished…

B.C.'s economy, health care and housing to be the focus of throne speechBritish Columbia's economy will be a key focus in the throne speech as politicians return to the legislature for the spring sitting. What an abject disappointment and failure Dave_Eby has been so far. All hot air and no substance just like the rest of the NDP MLA. So sad. Recall these muppets and give them the gift of an early retirement! Let us guess: It will ignore the poorest 20% of the population and keep them at below poverty rates because all the money went to those who already have more than enough? Will Dave_Eby hide the un-housed behind another bus or will he just use it to run them over?
