The city was rocked to its core when news broke that Mortons Rolls had ceased trading but a potential 'investor' could save jobs and give Glasgow back the brand it has known and loved for decades.

It sent shockwaves around the city with Glaswegians sharing their fond memories of the historic bakery.But, it may not yet be a goodbye as Labour MSP Paul Sweeney announced he has been speaking with "investors" who want to buy Mortons Rolls. "Time is of the essence to secure the factory lease and jobs. I have requested that Scottish Ministers engage with the investors within 24 hours."
