Changing the clocks is bad for your health and bad for the economy. The US and Europe are trying to stop the seasonal switches, but with little success.

. Still, the US, Europe, and a few other nations are finding it hard to break the habit. The issue, says Güell Sans, is whether we stay on standard time or daylight saving time forever.

A year ago, the US Senate passed a bill to move the clocks forward an hour permanently. But it was not taken up in the US House of Representatives, which would also need to pass the bill before sending it to the president’s desk. A group of senatorsEurope is also trying to end the clock changes, but crises havethe move: First it was Covid-19; then, for the past year, Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has commanded the bloc’s attention.

I'll take either standard time or daylight savings time, just so it does not change. Slight preference for the latter, but pick one and keep it, dammit!

It’s an hour. Divide it on half and meet in the middle. Done.

Pick one. Whichever one is picked will most affect people near the border of a time zone. If that area doesn't like what was picked, let that area join the time zone near them which should improve their situation.

Been talking about this since the mid 2000s. Remaining on standard time permanently is a healthier option than permanent daylight saving time (wrt many physiological impacts)

Keep summer light longer. That’s what matters.

I would prefer no change ever to daylight savings. I live in an area that is on the border of time. Zone. We used to be central …now eastern. We are always on what used to be daylight savings time.
