I am a boomer and thanks to the taxes I paid I live the good life in a safe clean multicultural little piece of heaven. Taxes to Liberals improves our standards of living. Conservatives issue cheques and land grants to businesses and do nothing of value.
Also why is there no discussion on cutting costs, pretty sure it wouldn't be that hard to cut 20-25% of government spending to get us back to a place that is financially responsible without raising taxes!
The day we implement a wealth tax is the day I sadly pack up and move to the US. I have no issues with those who do well paying more but there is a breaking point at some point and you chase all the entrepreneurs, investors and highly skilled to other countries!

Gen X has by far paid more tax then boomers or millennials. Gen X did not receive any federal child support nor did we receive a child tax credit fir our kids. We suffered though austerity to pay off the first Trudeau’s debt.

This guy neglects a key fact: capital gains is earned with AFTER-TAX MONEY ie 1) money earned less 2) income tax of over 50%. The leftovers of all this taxation are invested to earn capital gains which are then taxed at the capital gains rate.
The sheer arrogance and entitlement it takes for someone trying to argue that because top 10% of wage earners pay 54% of taxes his investments shouldn’t be subject to capital gains tax because he has “paid enough” boggles the mind
