Recently, he started dipping his toe into the short-term vacation rental market. He bought two properties in 2023 designed to be Airbnbs, one in Pinehurst, North Carolina and one about 30 minutes north of his home in Durham. He also brings in extra income from personal coaching — he created a paid mentorship program designed to help people buy their first rental property — and social media platforms, including, Instagram, and TikTok. He creates content around personal finance and real estate investing, and earns money from brand deals, affiliate marketing, and ads, he explained.
"I do a little bit in the stock market, just a few hundred dollars a month," he said."And then I usually max out my IRAs for the year. I may stop doing that, though.
