The City of Cape Town has proposed an investment of over R25 million over the next three years to improve vehicle licencing and customer walk-in centres and enhance customer experience:

This forms part of the City’s ‘Building Hope’ budget for 2023/24, which totals R69.9 billion and is allocated to massive infrastructure initiatives, social support plans, and putting an end to loadshedding in Cape Town. The City says the allocation will cover the upgrading, modernising and streamlining of its offices across the metro and the equipment used to assist customers at these facilities.

The City says the R25 million allocation will also go towards enhancing and expanding its customer online booking system to eventually cover all motor vehicle and customer care offices across the metro.
