Thessalon is among seven communities in the province that will be getting new Level 2 electric vehicle chargers.
Aviva Canada announced Tuesday morning that the markets will be getting the chargers through its Charged for Change program, which is geared toward bringing chargers to under-served communities that lack EV infrastructure. The Charge for Change program is a partnership with Earth Day Canada and allows communities to apply for funding to receive between six and 10 Level 2 electric vehicle chargers.
Aviva and Earth Day Canada will be working with the municipalities and utility suppliers over the next three years to install the charging station infrastructure in the selected communities.
