Electric Vehicle Council CEO Behyad Jafari says Australia’s electric vehicle fuel efficiency standard strategy is something “every developed country” has except Australia and Russia.

“Every developed country in the world except for Australia and Russia already have these standards in place … there’s quite a lot of pretty strong paths for us to follow … the big

challenge about these standards is that because we don’t have them in place, car makers tell us they prioritise other markets because they do have standards,” Mr Jafari told Sky News Australia.

BJafari LNP's inaction set Australia back by years. Our petrol and diesel vehicles are less fuel efficient than nearly every other country, so we all pay more in fuel. And the flow on effect to EV adds the this utter LNP fail. Thankfully Labor is addressing the problems.

Blackouts before the 10 year rebuild to cope with these power hungry lithium batteries on wheels has even started. Gas power stations instead of coal needed as well to back intermittent renewables. The Gas needed to run power backup will have to be imported because of the Greens

Well you can thank the LNP and their media supporters for campaigning against electric vehicles in the 2019 election. Remember the fear mongering and ridicule constantly thrown at tha Labor party?
