This from a man who cannot get a budget through the House unamended.

Hammond has never said an honest word in his life.

I hope to Jesus the erg's are true, but after reading the world bank's report about how the EU and ECB willingly throw Greece under the bus and kept kicking the economy when it was down. I know project fear is project get real and think white

Go Hammond. Whilst you still have some credibility. It is waning at aremarkably fast rate.

And it has nothing to do with, the government have sat on this for 2 and a half years in the hope it would go away

Chancellor. Significant biased approach to Brexit Sulking remainer and scaremonger peddling project fear Shameful such a high profile politician should be promoting a bright and prosperous future ... the electorate are watching ...

All traitors

It’s a shame our Politicians don’t believe in our Country they only care about their own opinions rather than the democratic vote. We are not all going 2 die if there is no Brexit we will survive and adjust we did before EU and will post Brexit. No deal is better than a bad deal!

Not according to Article 24, GSK, Calais Port authority, Dover Port authority, Chanel Tunnel, head of WTO, Overseas investment into the UK at highest level ever. But apparently we're doomed. A very narrow minded inward looking Remainers outlook on life.

So- faced with the potential of 'Significant disruption', Leavers just palm it off and ignore. Out of interest, do they think there will be ANY downside to No Deal or Brexit in anyway? Or is it literally all Project Fear.

Yes,Phil, we know that. You are the most unhelpful oik in the Government. If I were PM you would have been sacked months ago.

We know that no deal Brexit would be a disaster, still that does not justify May's crap deal.

Stop doing this, you don't know what will happen. Scaremongering.

We don't care, you are supposed to represent the ppl, which as a politician should mean agreeing with the majority, whether you think you know better or not, do your job instead of abusing your position, it was OUR decision, the whole point of a ppls vote is so we have a choice

He would. Has always been a 5th column trooper.

Both options will though sstop scaremongering

Your job is to find solutions not identify problems

Not like him to back track so far we’re down to “significant disruption “ that’s way down from plagues and locusts

There are as many experts that say there will not be a problem with no deal as there are experts who say there will be a problem. Just get us out of the EU & stop arguing about it.

Short term disruption..

How it’s been handled is an absolute disgrace. Final decisions HAVE to be made. We have companies pulling out of the country & collapsing, making 1000’s redundant from fear, because the bunch of muppets called government are more intent on inter fighting than running the country

He is the biggest obsticle to Brexit.

Treating the people as thick again when I voted leave I fully understood that the transition would be painful and disruptive at the beginning but the rewards would far outway he pain, I am sure out of 17.4 million I wasn’t the only one!! Leave means Leave!!

Another self interested fool with no vision or ambition

How would PM May consider the idea delaying Brexit until the end of the year ? But the process through the Parliament is critical.

PhilipHammondUK

He is useless, sick of all the lies & waffle

We didn’t vote for any deal we voted to leave, we could leave amicably but for the intransigence of the EU, in fact we were told that we aren’t allowed to negotiate any kind of trade deals until we haft the EU all together so let’s get on with leaving and stop pampering to wimps.

He is why I don’t approve of political jokes; I have seen too many like him get elected.

More disruption than the no decision we currently have?

Stating the blidingly obvious

Meanwhile in Brussels: EU and New Zealand negotiate FTA - without the UK. globalbritain WTOBrexit

ABBA - Money money money springs to mind...

If a blind man leads a blind man they will both go down together into the pit. (Words of Jesus words to live by )

But that isn't what the Lithuanian president just said. The quicker we leave, even with no deal, the quicker they can make deals. No wonder there isn't an agreement on anything by anyone

He’s had two years to prepare for No Deal. He’s had two years to minimise any risks. He’s had two years to advise businesses how to migrate to new trade arrangements. The fact that he has done nothing apart from promising to stop Brexit just makes him look incompetent.

Translate ‘significant disruption’ to total disaster!!!

Shouldn't that be 'chancer' instead of 'Chancellor'?

We all know the feelings of Hammond, and we all know the BBC likes spouting anti Brexit nonsense, and we all know The Project Fear this week c/o Downing Street.

As long as BBC News is controlled by a Murdoch man with the inevitable and documented bias issue and disdain for the BBC Trust, it's credibility in political reporting is fatally undernined.

This exposes some of the massive corruption on the Remain side. We need to get this spread far and wide folks:

PhilipHammondUK please do your best Geoffrey Howe impression and get on with this!

Nothing like the disruption there will be if we 'leave' with a 'deal'.

Didn't we get these exact same warnings from Osborne when he was Chancellor, & we triggered Article 50. They were rubbish then, & they are rubbish now. Later today I expect we will get the 'Emergency Budget' warning , which again never happened, & was rubbish.

This is the man supposedly in charge of providing funds to mitigate the issues. How can TM have him anywhere near cabinet. Consistently undermining the process. He should be providing assurances to business now peddling project fear for 3 years. Disgraceful. Get him and Rudd out

Dear , I personally don’t give a shit what this idiot thinks. A mandate was set , a vote was had , The result passed and triggered by law, Just do your job and get on with the decision the majority made in your once in a lifetime referendum.

😴😴😴

Only took him three years to find THAT out. Idiot.

We have been suffering because of his incompetence for years, surely a NO DEAL and him resigning would boost our economy

You know I think we may have got the message now don't you? All this endless propaganda is getting boring.

Absolute rubbish

Maybe if government had planned for a WTO UK for the past two years we wouldn't be rushing around at the last minute. We don't need a deal. We need people who can govern.

suarhg

We have serious disruption from leaves on train tracks.... we still manage. Just get on with leaving with no deal!

Oh please just do one!

No deal..he needs to move on🇬🇧

A WTO-rules Brexit will of cause have some hurdles to take but the scaremongering is not helping - work on the issues to resolve them - number of treaties already in place for it. DomesdayNews

Change is a dirty word for some, it should be embraced, look forward to the future which only then we control, not some un-elected bureaucrats in Brussels & lets keep our hard earned not prop up other failing countries & those in Brussels with their unaccountable accounts! WTO

Significant disruption by this man of a democratic vote! He is only worried about his Own pocket.

John Major said if you do not join the euro you will live in caves in few years time...

£4bn on Not Yet Seaborne and the Great Manston Snarl-Up wasted then? That’ll help public finances. And UK reputation.

No Deal is a Deal

Is he related to Carney ? Because Carney keeps spouting out negative predictions what should of happened because of Brexit in the last 2 years what has not happened .

With a 2nd Ref now firmly off the table, the Chancellor has been sent out to try to herd the cats towards the PM's deal. The hope, which the EU is working on, is that they can synchronise this with the backstop being legally neutered and hey presto her agreement should pass.

aka.. Treasury to be caught out by still paying for EU tax/law harmonization projects since 2016 despite Brexit means Brexit..

It isn't all bad, though, because comfortable millionaire Mr Hammond will no doubt resign at some point - resigning really has become the height of political fashion of late - and live cushioned by his own good fortune.

Remainers in government will cause significant disruption to Brexit.

More project fear from the bbC.

all mothers & fathers of children under 15 years old and being over 45 years old them selves will die if a NoDealBrexit is the answer . Lets just really go for scaring people big time , Where is osbornes 3rd world war

just like a vote to leave in 2016 then rofl ? Britain to enter recession with 500,000 UK jobs lost if it votes to leave the EU, new Treasury analysis shows -

But... but.... but... significant disruption is what the PEOPLE VOTED FOR! Wasn’t that on the side of a bus 🤔

We voted to leave. We knew it wouldn’t be smooth. Everyone expected the EU and remainers to fight our decision and the EU to agree nothing except hands over the keys to the Bank of England . Now the project fear ramps up a notch.

Significant disruption from chancellor. No deal.

and you know this to be fact ?

if only you use sovereignty to pay the rent/mortgage/buy food etc. But, brexit believers, you can't.

Who would think this guy is a liar with a face like that

Significant understatement from Chancellor

Shouldn't that read 'Significant disruption due to our inability as a government to prepare for No Deal'?

Just no deal is it Phillip. Maybe let the country vote again now they are more informed of what all this means. Or you know, realise what a colossal fuck up this is for the future and cancel brexit.

Good on him for speaking out. Not that he has much choice.
