The New Inclusive Economy Business-to-Business Roadshow will come to the city in June.

A select group of Prince George employers, including the City of Prince George, are invited to attend a workshop to promote inclusive and accessible workplaces.

The B.C. Ministry of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills has announced the New Inclusive Economy Business-to-Business Roadshow would be coming to 10 communities across the province in June. While the majority of those workshops are open to any employers in the community, the Prince George event will be a smaller workshop for a select group of employers in the city, New Inclusive Economy Project manager Leni Goggins said.

"The business community in B.C. will be able to hear directly from employers who are implementing disability inclusion in the workplace," said Selina Robinson, Minister of Post-Secondary Education and Future Skills. "They will have the opportunity to hear how disability inclusion enriches the workplace and creates excellent employees."

Prince George employers not invited to the local event can sign up to attend the free workshops being held in Smithers , Terrace or Fort St. John . The workshop is also coming to Victoria, Kelowna, Powell River, Cranbrook and Surrey. "People with disabilities deserve good job opportunities," said Sheila Malcolmson, Minister of Social Development and Poverty Reduction. "Helping employers remove barriers to the workplace means more people with disabilities can work and participate in their communities."
