With its relaunch, MoviePass is offering four subscription plans. The standard plan costs $10 a month and lets you see one to three movies a month. With the basic plan, which MoviePass says is a best seller, you can see three to seven movies for $20 a month. The premium plan costs $30 per month for 5-11 movies. The pro plan, which is the most expensive, lets you see 30 movies a month for $40.
Subscriptions cost more for members in the Southern California and the New York metro area. All plans are good for standard 2D screenings at more than 4,000 theaters nationwide. Each plan comes with a set number of credits, and users spend credits to see movies. The number of credits a movie costs depends on factors like whether the movie is in the morning or evening, or whether it's on a weekday or weekend.
Former MoviePass users will know its subscription offerings now aren't nearly as generous as they used to be. The company used to permit customers to
