“Habits are powerful, and the right ones are life changing” says Eden Decano, Group Director of Finance and also Megaworld Hotels & Resorts’ champion for sustainability efforts. She adds, “the only way for us to win our cause for the earth is to do it as a community while we make efforts fun and engaging to create habits out of it” and so they did with their 30-day Sustainability Challenge.

Apart from avoiding single use plastics and waste segregation, some memorable tasks included bringing local delicacies to share in their offices and visiting local museums and heritage sites to promote local cultural appreciation.
At the end of the 30-day challenge, all 2,000 employees made thousands of good deeds for the earth! All efforts are in initial engagement with the Good Travel Program, an organization that offers a variety of tools to assess, support and certify the sustainability of business in the tourism sector.
