Markets are ‘pensive’ as Canada and NZ are about to announce interest rate decisionsCommSec’s Tom Piotrowski says the markets are going to be “pensive at best” as the Bank of Canada and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand are about to announce their interest rate decisions. “It’s a big week for interest rate decisions, we’ve got the Bank of Canada, and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand on Wednesday, and then we’ve got US CPI figures that day as well,” he told Sky News Australia. “So the markets will be pensive at best for the next couple of days until we get that out of the way, there’s also a speech from the Reserve Bank Governor on Wednesday titled the Reserve Bank Review and Monetary Policy. “That will be a highlight because it will paint a picture of where the RBA is going in relation to the way it decides on interest rates and the various structures that might inform that.” Presented by CommSec.
