A man forked out $3.90 for his economy rice from a coffee shop stall in Yishun and remains unconvinced by its price tag.said he visited the coffee shop at Block 848 Yishun Street 81, located opposite Sheng Siong supermarket, last Friday , at around 6.55pm.
He ordered pork and steamed egg with white rice from the Chang Cheng economy rice stall, and was shocked to be charged $3.90. Eugene told Stomp:"The cashier keyed in three meats for $3, so I asked her why one meat and one egg was $3.90."The server also gave me a suspicious expression while informing the cashier about my order.
