Short-term rental hosts on Airbnb and Vrbo previously told Insider that
were being booked this summer. Travelers are either hunting for cheap, last-minute spots, and haggling for prices, or snapping up luxury rentals that feature sweeping views, high-end furnishings, and vacation accoutrements like a fire pit and a pool.that are expected to bring in the biggest haul for hosts of large beach homes this summer.
The list calculates how often the average host is booked and how much the average host is charging to arrive at the annual revenue potential. The most iconic beach states — California and Florida — dominate the list with spots like Destin, Florida, and Monterey Bay, California, along with cities like Miami and San Diego. Hilton Head, South Carolina also made into the list.
In all locations, AirDNA projects the average host could bring in around $200,000 or more this year. The following statistics are from the AirDNA report.
