As a lack of sufficient space in shelters has forced hundreds of refugee claimants to sleep on the streets of Toronto, Ontario Premier Doug Ford is asking the federal government to do more. “I’m going to be all over the federal government,” Ford told reporters during a press conference on Tuesday. “This is a serious call out.”

When asked whether his government has done enough to support refugees, Ford touted the funding his government has already spent to accommodate claimants and called for more collaboration with the both the feds and municipality.
