Hong Kong stocks decline for fifth session as Japanese stocks gain

Stocks in the Asia-Pacific region were mixed Tuesday, Sept. 12, with shares in Hong Kong declining for the fifth day.

Of the the Hang Seng Index constituents, passenger cars company BYD Co Ltd 1211, +2.82% saw the largest increase Tuesday, as shares rose 2.8%. Shares of marine transport firm Orient Overseas Intl 316, -3.47% and pharmaceuticals company Hansoh Pharmaceutical 3692, -2.86% declined 3.5% and 2.9%, respectively.
