Investors 'should not care' about govt. shutdown in Q4: ExpertA government shutdown was averted late Saturday evening as Congress approved a short-term 45-day federal funding bill. The bill is designed to keep the government open until November 17, providing lawmakers a window to fully develop a proper federal spending budget. Isaac Boltansky, Director of Policy Research at BTG, shares with Yahoo Finance that while a government shutdown was averted, it is still expected in the fourth quarter. He characterizes this bill as the federal government 'punting' tough decisions to a later date, with no real resolution on spending policies, such as providing aid to Ukraine. Boltansky ultimately believes investors should not be concerned. 'The one thing that scared me the most is that we wouldn't collect and report official government data, through the shutdown,' Boltansky tells Yahoo Finance, adding: 'At least we've got 6 more weeks of that.'
