With Luke Hodge, Sam Mitchell and Brad Sewell, Lewis formed a key part of the midfield nucleus that made Hawthorn a powerhouse. He played 264 games for the Hawks, winning their best and fairest in the premiership year of 2014, the same season he earned his only All-Australian blazer.
