Collingwood premiership player Beau McCreery has made good on leaving an Auskicker hanging on the dais after the AFL grand final. The 22-year-old copped it from fans on Saturday when, having received his medallion from young Hunter, he instantly turned his back for a premeditated celebration.
McCreery leaves young Auskicker hanging. McCreery wasn’t the only player called out for his treatment of the young footballers, with teammates Darcy Cameron and Mason Cox also moving on after receiving their medals. But a ‘phone call’ gesture and Hunter’s attempt to shake his hand ensured he received the most criticism. Six days later, all is right in the world again. McCreery shared a picture of himself with Hunter at Collingwood HQ on Friday. “Made the handshake happen,” the flag hero wrote.
