Collingwood vice-captain Taylor Adams requests trade to Sydney Swans

Collingwood vice-captain Taylor Adams has officially requested a trade to Sydney. 7NEWS reporter Mitch Cleary revealed the Swans’ approach on Friday and on Sunday confirmed the 30-year-old wants to join the Swans. Cleary reports he will get a three-deal at the Swans and Collingwood will facilitate the trade despite hoping he would remain at the club. Sydney will be Adams’ third club after he began his career at Greater Western Sydney.

John Longmire’s side has been on the front foot attempting to attract mature talent after dropping from a grand final berth in 2022 to elimination final losers this September. The Swans were ranked 17th for clearance differential in 2023 and are set to be without co-captain midfielder Callum Mills for at least the first six weeks of next season after a freak Mad Monday mishap.
