Tim Beale, chief executive officer of Keepmoat, has expressed his delight that the company will be making a colossal push in the county, which he feels is ready to realise its potential in the near future

The boss of one of the UK's largest housebuilders has said the company will invest more than half a billion into Nottinghamshire in coming years as it bets on the area's future success. Tim Beale, chief executive officer of Keepmoat, has expressed his delight that the company is making a colossal push in the county, which he feels is ready to realise its potential in the near future.

Keepmoat focuses on the regeneration of empty locations and works in partnership with landowners, investors or registered providers to develop land. It recently bought land at Boots' headquarters on Thane Road in Nottingham, on which it will build 604 new homes by 2029 in partnership with housing association Platform Housing.

"Sites like the Boots site and Gedling Colliery were doing nothing for a very long time, so a lot of the potential negativity just isn't there. Also when we are looking at planning applications we try to work with the local community to make sure the designs are sensitive and reflect what people would like to see."
