England have been made to look silly at the Cricket World Cup after a manufacturing blunder saw them take the field in varying shirts. Photos of the players during their opening two games of the tournament in India, against New Zealand and Pakistan, appear to show a difference in the size of the font on the front of the shirt.
New Zealand skipper runs the drinks in Black Caps victory. In a team photo, seven of the 15 squad members have shirts which say ‘ENGLAND’ in a smaller font than that of the other eight players’ shirts. Mark Wood, Gus Atkinson, Reece Topley, Harry Brook, David Willey, Ben Stokes and Chris Woakes all appeared to be wearing shirts with the smaller font size.
