Fans and friends have expressed “devastation” at the news that the much-loved New Zealand stand-up comedian and writer Cal Wilson has died, aged 53. The popular comic died after a “short illness”, her management Token Artists said on Wednesday. She leaves behind husband Chris and son Digby. Wilson’s former SlideShow co-star Grant Denyer led tributes to the comedian, taking to her Instagram to thank her for “everything”. “Oh my goodness. I’m shaking. I can’t believe what I’m reading.
