Shares of hotels firm Whitbread PLC WTB, +1.29% and non-alcoholic beverages/drinks company Coca-Cola HBC AG CCH, +0.85% climbed 1.29% and 0.85%, respectively.
The pound was down 0.27% against dollar GBPUSD, -0.27% at $1.2151 and was up 0.16% against the euro GBPEUR, +0.16% at €1.1536.
