The bodies of father and son prospectors missing in WA’s Mid West have been found. James Dempsey, 33, and his 66-year-old dad Ray Dempsey were recovered during a search of an area surrounding the Polelle Pastoral Station, south of Meekatharra, on Tuesday. “Sadly both missing men were located deceased during the search this afternoon,” WA Police said. “The deaths are being considered non-suspicious.
” It was a tragic end for loved ones and search teams who held hopes of tracking the men down and finding them alive. A search involving local police, the Emergency Operations Unit, SES and air assets was launched to locate the pair. Serious welfare concerns were raised after an empty camp was found at the station, 620km northeast of Perth, on Saturday.
