Scammers are working overtime to lure unsuspecting consumers into signing up for dodgy investments and by promises of being taken off the debt review process.Senzi, a City Press reader, fell victim to a company that promised to help him exit debt review. He was asked to pay R2 000 upfront, only to be informed that the company could not assist him to exit debt review until his debts were paid.

According to the company, his debt review status was D4, which meant that a court order and formal debt re-structuring had already been issued.South Africans need to be in the know if we want to create a prosperous future.
