Collingwood premiership hero Bobby Hill and partner Georgia Devlin have welcomed their second child into the world. The couple announced the safe arrival of baby boy Malakai, born on Monday. Malakai joins two-year-old Bobby jnr in the family of four. Their post on social media was flooded with likes and comments from family, friends and the AFL community. Hill, 24, won last year’s Norm Smith Medal after playing a pivotal role in the Collingwood’s win over Brisbane in the grand final.
“But going back to my family and here at the club, it’s made me a stronger man.” Hill’s triumph also came just months after mourning the loss of close family friend Sam, the sister of Carlton star and former GWS teammate Zac Williams. Sam, a mother-of-three, lost her battle with cancer in June. Hill was sidelined for the second half of 2021 after his diagnosis, but returned to the field to make his Pies debut in Round 1 last year and made an instant impact with three goals in a win over Geelong.
