West Coast have been dealt a horific injury blow with co-captain Oscar Allen sidelined with bone stress in his right knee. Allen had scans on Tuesday after his knee swelled up after Sunday’s 50-point loss to Port Adelaide. The club didn’t officially put a timeframe on the injury, but 7NEWS Perth reporter Ryan Daniels understands he will be sidelined for 6-8 weeks. “Co-captain Oscar Allen will miss some football after experiencing soreness in his right knee,” the club said in a statement.

” It continues a nightmare run on the injury front for the Eagles, who last year barely had 22 fit players to choose from, and have won a total of five games across the past two years. Allen, who turned 25 on Tuesday, had appeared set for a big season after booting 53 goals last year and taking on the co-captaincy. His absence comes as last season’s wooden spooners prepare to face a rampant GWS.
