Adelaide will delay fitness calls on injured duo Taylor Walker and Jordon Butts until hours before Friday night’s AFL fixture against Geelong. All-Australian forward Walker missed the Crows’ Round 1 game against Gold Coast because of back spasms, and fullback Butts hurt an ankle during the six-point loss.
Walker returned to training this week and, like Butts, was named in the Crows’ side to tackle the Cats at Adelaide Oval. The Cats have replaced Tanner Bruhn with Oisin Mullin. In other team news, star midfielder Jack Macrae remains out in the cold, not included in the Western Bulldogs’ squad to take on Gold Coast. The Dogs added four players to their 26-man squad, but despite being fit and a solid VFL hitout last week, Macrae has been left out.
