'Express kidnappings': How to hide your money from criminals

While no amount of money is worth your life, there are some safety features you can enable on your banking app to protect your funds.Incidences of people being held against their will or threatened with violence to either withdraw funds from an ATM or transfer money from their banking app are increasing. This is according to the South African Banking Risk Information Centre which has seen an escalation in the number of reports of “express kidnappings”.
