Proton X70 .According to a report by BERNAMA, the Social Welfare Department has revealed that beggars in Kelantan can garner up to 5-figures income in donations from the public during the Ramadan month.
“The beggars will give various reasons and tactics, claiming they have no income, not enough money, mentally unstable, using babies to garner sympathy,” shared state JKM director, Said Sudip. He explained that these beggars’ incomes see a significant increase during the fasting month as our Muslim brothers and sisters tend to become more charitable during this time of year. “Every year, during Ramadan, such activities become a trend and the number of beggars will see a significant rise comprising of locals and ‘imported’ beggars, especially from Thailand,” he further shared, adding that healthy, able-bodied beggars would also act like they are differently-abled to attract sympathy.
