A Melbourne family is recovering from a shocking crime spree in which they were robbed three times in one night — and were even spied on while they showered. The family of four were sleeping in their home in the affluent suburb of Brighton when two offenders first broke in at 1am on Sunday and stole car keys and the garage remote control. They returned at 2.30am with more people to help empty the garage, including taking a sedan, a ute and a Mini Cooper.
“Once they knew it was an easy target, they called their mates and cleared the rest out,” one of the residents, who chose to remain anonymous, told 7NEWS. “Probably the scariest thing is how many times they came back.” CCTV footage captured the entire raid and the terrifying moment two of the offenders peered into the bathroom window while one of the residents was showering. The offenders are believed to be youths.
